A word from our Founder and C.E.O
- Leanne Evans  -

"Hi, I’m Leanne

My story is long but for now I will keep it short. Basically life’s circumstances have lead me to be a woman’s woman. I have lived a life that lead me to want to be empowered and to pass that on to those around me. I found my love and passion in fitness while trying to help a sibling.

My battles with main stream education, clashing with my son’s struggles with ADHD & Asperger's, made it impossible for me to maintain my job at the time as a beauty therapist with a managers position. I have three fantastic children, the second with a diagnosis of GDD and a third who is a little girl who keeps me on my toes.

I brought fitness and mums to my home to practice, they brought their children and I became busier with my new found love of fitness and helping other women, especially  those with children on the autism spectrum, because it is something I understand so personally.

I had savings and I thought, “what the hell, live life on the edge!” So, I put every penny into a building and named it Fitmoms & Kids. That was five years ago and here we are now!

Its not been easy, in fact, I’ve lost my heart and mind a few times, but by then I had a team of volunteers & committee members. They started in 2019, helping me to believe in myself, in them, and our mission. My team are my backbone, especially Lesley who is my long term friend and now appointed secretary.

So there is our beginning, our build up, and our present! Our door is always open to new and returning faces, I hope you will visit us soon!"
